Vassar Brothers Medical Center Medical Library
is seeking a part-time Library Clerk to work closely with the library manager
in the provision of services
to Medical Center staff. Daily duties include office management, article verification,
interlibrary article exchange ordering and processing, maintenance of holdings
lists, assisting staff in accessing electronic and print resources, and assisting
the manager in the provision and promotion of services. Performs additional
duties as assigned, including participation in library and archival projects.
Qualifications:
College-level education preferred. Previous library experience is preferred
but not required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software required (Word,
Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook). The ideal candidate will be able to:
perform exacting work with attention to detail despite interruptions; multi-task
and prioritize appropriately; work independently and as a member of a two-person
team; and be able to understand the inter-relatedness of tasks. The ideal candidate
will be self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility. Candidate must
be able to provide excellent customer service in a pleasant manner to all library
users. The candidate should have an understanding of the importance of the
Library's role in supporting the needs of health care professionals in a top-quality
regional medical center.

Orange-Ulster BOCES School Library System Coordinator, Monroe, NY
Description:
The Coordinator is responsible for the administration of the School Library
System program, which provides services to member libraries in 17 school
districts and 36 non-public schools under the System's Plan of Service as
approved by the BOCES Cooperative Board of Education and the New York State
Education Department. Additionally, the Coordinator manages the Library Automation,
Media Library, and Professional Reference Library cooperative services.
Qualifications:
NYS Certification as School Library/Media Specialist and minimum of three years
experience as a School Library Media Specialist. NYS School District Leader
certification or obtain within 3 years of appointment. Excellent verbal and
written communication skills.
Start date: Immediate
Salary commensurate with experience.
